Our team looks to support retailers of equipment for disabled people no matter how small
CREATING A RETAILER COMMUNITY
What We Do
Our CommunityOur main goals are to spread awareness of our equipment providers throughout local communities and national organisations.
We support users of equipment to ensure you get the right equipment at the right time and right price. (See dedicated page for the public) |
Our ImpactCommunity Equipment has come a long way!!
CERA is a sister organisation of NAEP (National Association of Equipment Providers). NAEP has supported equipment providers over many years and hosts the famous annual NAEP conference! CERA will support retailers and users of equipment as effectively, with the added bonus of such a close connection to the well established NAEP organisation. |
Get Involved CERA invites all retailers to get involved in our organisation. Tell us what support you need. Tell us of any additional benefits you think will help you and your business. (See dedicated retailer page and member pages for members only)

Our StoryThe CERA Accreditation is a national accreditation for retailers of equipment for people with disabilities. It was previously known as CED and was founded in 2007. Its members include experts in the field of equipment provision. In 2018 CED was re-branded as CERA. It is a ‘not for profit’ organisation and is responsible for the development, introduction and operation of the national scheme for high street equipment retailers, designed specifically to clearly identify those retailers offering the highest standards of service delivery to those with specialist equipment needs.
The CERA Board works closely with committed retailers to promote and support excellence in equipment provision. Only those retailers that satisfy CERA registration's exacting standards of service provision will be awarded accreditation status and be eligible to display the CERA logo in their store. One of the Board’s primary objectives is to benefit people whose lives will be enhanced by access to high quality support, advice and information about equipment designed to promote independence and mobility. The Accreditation Scheme is a vital element in achieving this goal bringing together people with equipment needs and trusted equipment retailers with a recognised capability to meet those needs. Our organisation was established with the aim of creating change in our community, where retailers supporting the lives of people with disabilities are given trust and respect. Since our start, we have made a tremendous impact in the lives of those served. |
